The Breast Centers of Covenant Health offer digital mammography, breast MRI, and breast ultrasound. And many of our centers now offer 3D mammography, which allows the radiologist to better detect smaller cancers – even with dense breast tissue. Raising Breast Cancer Awareness
The key to successfully treating cancer is early detection. Covenant Health Breast Centers offer education, special screening programs, and community outreach throughout the year to promote early detection. Breast Cancer Screening Guidelines
- Monthly: self breast exam
- Every 3 years after age 20: clinical breast exam
- At the age of 40 and older: the American College of Radiology and American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists recommend annual screening mammograms
